Gameplay[]

This is the medium Railgun available. It does the same damage to shields as both the 100mm and 200mm versions, and less armor damage than the 200mm version. It occupies a gun slot and can fire at any target within a 45° arc of the bow. Its range is excellent but it fires rather slowly and is quite heavy making it a poor close-combat weapon.
Best used at long range and in combination with Missiles, EMP Torpedoes or 100mm Railguns, which are all useful for quickly demolishing shields.
The 150mm Railgun has the highest armor damage per second of any Railgun. Although the 200mm Railgun has a higher armor damage per shot, its longer reload time negates this advantage.

The 150mm Railgun is an Auroran weapon that doesn't use any ammunition. It's available at the same outfitters as the 100mm and is installed on most Auroran and some pirate ships.
