Auroran Radar Jammer on an unidentified ship
"Only recently have the Aurorans managed to develop the technology to have any effect against radar guided missiles. They were able to salvage an old Federation radar counter-measures package and deconstruct it. The capabilities of the resulting system are still years behind those of the Federation, but it is better than nothing."
The Auroran Radar Jammer is several generations behind its equivalent in the Federation and Rebellion fleets; in fact, it was developed by reverse-engineering an old Federation design. It does work, after a fashion, and the Aurorans won't make you buy a license for it, either.
Gameplay[]
This jammer is only available if you have completed part of the Heraan Storyline, and it is less capable than the Federation Radar jammer while being significantly heavier. Although it's indeed 5% more effective than the Civilian jammer, it's far greater weight makes it worse than that jammer too.
On the other hand, the Heraani do you the courtesy of allowing you to purchase both the IR and Radar jammers at the same time, whereas the Federation and Rebel jammers are unlocked piecemeal.
