"While these are indeed nice heavy missiles, they are inferior to the wonderful Hellhound. The only good thing about these missiles is the fact that they can't be jammed. You'd be better off getting some Hellhound launchers." ― EVula Survival Guide

Savvy privateers note that unlike Hellhound Missiles, each of these beauties requires its own space in a weapons bay. Also, they cannot ionize, unlike the Hellhound Missile. More than a few captains have found themselves halfway through a dogfight with a powerful, heavy, and rather useless unloaded missile launcher. Its one good note is that it does not do splash damage like the Hellhound, so it can be used in conjunction with fighters (unless you like having to replace your fighters every landfall).

Gravimetric Missile Launcher on an Abomination

"Gravimetric missiles require a very stable and well shielded position from which to get their bearings on a target. The GLi-tech corporation ( which was formerly known as GLiMMER, before a 120 NC name change for legal purposes) makes and sells the only non-military implementation of the gravimetric missile system. The monopoly market share that GLi-tech enjoys does not bode well for the price."

A powerful and accurate missile utilized almost exclusively by the Rebellion, the Gravimetric Missile is nonetheless available to any ship's captain with the proper license. Although GLi-Tech is rumored to be developing an even more powerful weapon, the Grav. Missile is currently the most destructive ordinance available outside of Polaris space, except, of course, for the mighty (and illegal) EMP Torpedo.

The weapon can obtained from the outfitters at GLi-Tech-nia, Rebel I, and Rebel II. They can usually be found at Rauther as well.

Gravimetric Missile on an Abomination

"Gravimetric missiles lock onto the mass signature of a target. They cannot be jammed by any known means, and they carry the biggest payload of any missile on the open market. They are also far and away the most expensive. For those willing to pay the price, the Gravimetric missile will almost never miss its target, and will destroy smaller ships with one hit."

A maxxed out load of Gravimetric Missiles will set you back 175k and 100 tons.
