Planet

A planet is a celestial body orbiting a star or stellar remnant that is massive enough to be rounded by its own gravity, not massive enough to cause thermonuclear fusion in its core, and has cleared its neighboring region of planetesimals (smaller bodies such as asteroids). Planets are naturally occurring bodies, as opposed to artificial objects such as spacedocks and hypergates.

Planets are where most (but not all) spaceports are found in Nova. For a list of the planets in a given star system, check the Galactic Map entry for that system.
