The Rebel IR Jammer is nearly identical to the Federation Military IR Jammer; in fact, it is rumored that General Smart brought the schematics with him when he defected to the Rebellion. Whatever its origin, this is an effective defensive system which comes as standard equipment on most Rebel-built ships.
