The telepathic Vell-os Arrow is a Vell-os ship in Escape Velocity Nova. The ability to form an Arrow is exhibited by telepaths ranked T2 or higher.

"The Arrow is an undertaking that has been known to be completed by a very skilled T3, but is more usually the in the purview of a T2. It is a mental barrier of enormous proportions that affords the Vell-os pilot excellent physical protection. The Arrow differs visibly from the Dart, in that it is significantly longer and more streamlined. This is certainly a powerful vessel, but it is rarely seen in these dark times." ― Arrow description

The Vell-os Arrow is a light warship with a strong turreted beam. It defies inertia.

As a telepathic construct, the Arrow can't equip most outfits. Thus it relies upon the telepath's trained abilities in flight.

Stats[]

"The sheer simplicity of this Arrow doesn't seem to get in the way of it working efficiently. As the Vell-os pilot shows you his handiwork, you cannot help but be impressed. The Arrow is a formidable ship; you wonder how these people were enslaved in the first place." ― Hiring an Arrow

You can't hire an Arrow.

Gameplay Analysis[]

Arrow Shipyard

"As the mid-range Vell-os ship, the Arrow is quite good. It has very high shields for a ship of it's class, and a powerful offense. While it isn't as speedy as the Dart, you shouldn't turn your back on the Arrow for fear of feeling it's Summer Bloom rip through your ship in no time." ― EVula Survival Guide

This is one of the most powerful ships in the game for its size. You can easily surprise a Fed Destroyer as one and make short work of it. When fighting an Arrow, stay at long range so you don't get destroyed by its Summer Bloom. This is extremely easy to do if you have an Aurora Cruiser as an escort as heavy railguns will impart significant impact on an Arrow.

The only outfit you can fill with the equipment space is four Marine Platoons. This gives you 100 crew, which should be good for capturing escorts up to 50 crew.
